Alvaro Rodrigues Partner Alvaro Rodrigues is a partner at C&C and he is in charge of the firm's litigation and dispute resolution department. His practice also focuses on insolvency, bankruptcy, real estate and construction matters. Mr Rodrigues has acquired a breadth of experience in representing local and foreign clients in litigation matters at different levels of the Macau Courts, dealing with civil as well as criminal cases, and defending high-profile figures in corruption cases. He has also advised and concluded deals for clients in the fields of real estate and construction, and has been involved in insolvency and bankruptcy procedures. In 2000, he was elected partner and has since then been supervising and managing the firm's litigation cases. Prior to becoming a lawyer, he worked for the Macau Government as a civil servant, initially at the Finance Services Bureau and later at the Land Registry Office, which equipped him with an inside perspective of the govenment's operation and procedures. He was admitted as a civil law notary in 2000. He taught International Public Law and Labour & Welfare Law as Assistant Professor in the University of Macau Law School. He has been a voting member of the Board of Directors of the Macau Bar Association since 2000. He is also a member of APAA (Asian Patent Attorneys Association).
