The Macau SAR has been provided with its own Courts under the Basic Law and judgments and remedies awarded by its Courts are not subject to reviews or ratifications by any foreign instances. Macau is a typical civil law jurisdiction with legislation being the main source of law, as opposed to case law under a common law system.
