In 2012, C&C entered a co-operation and partnership agreement with the Law Firm Abreu Advogados, one of the most prestigious law firms in Portugal. On the base of this partnership were the expansion and growth strategies adopted by both law firms, together with the language and historical ties between Macau and Portugal, as well as the possibility to actively participate in the development of the economic relations between the two regions. The common origin of their legal regions makes this alliance reciprocally advantageous.

The partnership and cooperation agreement started in 2012 with Abreu Advogados included opening a law firm in Timor-Leste. The joint office, operating under the name Abreu and C&C Advogados – Timor-Leste, has a resident team of lawyers in Díli who provide legal services to national and international clients with business interests in Timor-Leste, especially in the areas of Energy and Natural Resources. The firm is led by Nuno Sardinha da Mata with C&C Advogados and Manuel Andrade Neves and Inês Sequeira Mendes with Abreu Advogados.

C&C Lawyers and Abreu Advogados established a partnership with the Cabo Verde law firm Arnaldo Silva &Associados, which belongs to the former President of the Cabo Verde Bar Association, in order to satisfy the needs of clients in the three territories. This partnership is the result of a common set of values and another step towards the international growth policy of the three law firms, promoting a more active involvement in the relationship between the three countries. This commitment has enhanced the response capacity through sharing know-how and the creation of multidisciplinary teams that allow for a joint, specialised approach, focused on the clients’ needs.
